The programming language used to create Paint.NET is C#, with a small amount of C++ for installation and shell-integration related functionality. Paint.NET can be used to enhance and clean up your photographs. Using the Clone Stamp tool, the power lines that criss-crossed in front of the Space Needle were carefully removed.
Other operations were performed that had the effect of smoothing out the image without blurring it, adding some "bloom" (glow), and increasing the contrast.

Special Effects
Many special effects are included for perfecting your images. Everything from blurring, sharpening, red-eye removal, distortion, noise, and embossing are included. Also included is our unique 3D Rotate/Zoom effect that makes it very easy to add perspective and tilting.
Adjustments are also included which help you tweak an image's brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, curves, and levels. You can also convert an image to black and white, or sepia-toned.

Open Source and Free
Paint.NET is provided free-of-charge, and the source code (all 133,000 lines of it) is also available for free under generous licensing terms. The bulk of Paint.NET is written in C#, with only a small amount of code related to setup and shell-integration written in C++.

Changes in aint.NET v3.5 Alpha, build 3529:
* When zoomed in, the selection outline is again "pixelated", like it was in v3.36. This allows it to correctly outline the selected area. Compared to the old version, performance is much improved, this is because the amount of computation is proportional to the complexity of the selection instead of proportional to the area of the bounding rectangle surrounding it.
* The magic wand is no longer broken (oops).
* Fixed an important internal algorithm for correctness and improved its performance. The algorithm was the polygon scan-converter (GeometryList class), and its incorrectness may have been causing many other problems.
* Fixed some issues with the Text tool related to font fallback. This was preventing certain characters from showing up and was breaking international text.
* Reduced CPU usage of the font dropdown list.
* Fixed the "This program may not have installed correctly" warning sometimes showing up after installation on Windows 7.

Most of the features present in other BitTorrent clients are present in µ,Torrent, including bandwidth prioritization, scheduling, RSS auto-downloading and Mainline DHT (compatible with BitComet). Additionally, µ,Torrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange. µ,Torrent was written with efficiency in mind. Unlike many torrent clients, it does not hog valuable system resources - typically using less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the computer as if it weren't there at all. Additionally, the program itself is contained within a single executable less than 300 KB in size.

Various icon, toolbar graphic and status icon replacements are available, and creating your own is very simple. µ,Torrent also has support for localization, and with a language file present, will automatically switch to your system language. If your language isn't available, you can easily add your own, or edit other existing translations to improve them!

The developer puts in a lot of time working on features and making things more user-friendly. Releases only come out when they're ready, with no schedule pressures, so the few bugs that appear are quickly addressed and fixed.

Feature Overview:
UDP trackers are a different protocol for tracker communication that uses significantly less processing power on the tracker end. It's important for us to support this because trackers have limited resources, so this should allow them to support many more users with their current hardware and not crash under the load.
uTP is an alternative communication method for BitTorrent traffic that allows the client to automatically regulate its bandwidth usage to avoid adversely impacting your internet connection. This will allow you or other users on the network to download their torrents without killing your connection without any additional setup required.
The transfer cap settings were added in response to various users who have ISP-mandated caps on how much data they can download/upload in a month. Now you can track your usage in MB (with a handy graph to visualize it) and even configure µ,Torrent to stop torrenting once the limits are exceeded. Currently, you can configure the time interval, the data cap and whether it should stop based on only download, upload, or both combined.
As a privacy notice, this traffic data is not sent back to us or anyone.
